Praise the parent who works from home often with kids around.
Today I was home with both kids while my husband went to work, and needed to be on my computer to communicate with students at the same time. Mass chaos would be an understatement. As soon as my husband got home, Kellan ratted me out and yelled to him, “Daddy!! Mama made a mistake and made a big mess and I cleaned it up!” What he was referring to was the “mistake” I made when trying to fill my water glass and heard “I have to pee, Mama!” I rushed away from the kitchen to get him on the potty, but forgot to turn off the water that was trickling above the counter from the filter tap into my glass. When I returned, who knows how much later, I initially only saw a small puddle and was ready to lay into the dog. Then I realized the entire kitchen floor was flooded. I grabbed a bunch of towels and Kellan grabbed a wash cloth to help. “You’re welcome for helping, Mama.” He repeated over and over so I would keep thanking him. What a day!

...and that is the first of crazy days in this crazy world of COVID-19. Trying to work with little ones around is tough. My daughter is thinking the same thing with her 2 1/2 year old and 2 month old.

Oh potty training. When you hear the words "I have to pee" you drop whatever you are doing and run for the potty! I get it...

Hopefully each day gets a little better!! But why do kids like to rat out parent 1 to parent 2?? I think we moms need to have a talk with our kids!
