Saturday naps are like a race against the clock. It's like "Minute to Win It" except it may be an hour and a half, it may be 30 minutes. No one knows. And once you do know it's too late. So as soon as I lay the baby down, I have to sprint through as many of the neglected chores from the week as I can.

that's a slice of life alright. i have set alarms for naps for like 8 minutes so many times. and usually don't actually fall asleep til there's 2 minutes or so left. i miss babies. even the hard stuff. thanks for letting us vicariously have that thru you. and we don't even have to change or wash diapers. ha.

I'm right there with you. I have a toddler and three other boys vying for attention and time, plus the house and all it "needs". We are living a continual minute to win it, every hour every day. It's good times!!

Oh how I miss saturday naps! Except yours appear to be far more productive then mine ever were. I always called it "family" nap time and I always tried to close my eye too. It was my way to survive! lol

Melody, I loved this post! As I was reading it, I felt like I was running around the house doing all the weekly chores with you! I hope that eventually during Saturday naps, you just get to sit and drink your coffee and don't have to run around :) Every new mom's dream I bet!

This is perfect Melody. It's so difficult to balance it all. Not only do you want to be a great mom, but you want to be a great wife, educator, daughter, etc. Loved your connection to "Minute to Win It". I feel like that everyday.
