I have always wished that I was a morning person. I wish I could get up an hour earlier than necessary, have a cup of coffee, watch some TV or read an article or two. I wish I could lazily make breakfast, or even eat breakfast before I left the house rather than eating at my desk quickly before the kids arrive. I wish I could spend time petting the dogs and choosing clothes that actually go together.
Instead I wait until the very last possible minute, rush around, forget things, get angry, and end up close to late. Im not sure what it is about that "extra" 15 minutes after the snooze, but on a Monday, and right after daylight savings, it was incredibly necessary this morning. I'd like to say tomorrow's outlook is better, but that would be a lie.

This made me laugh. I am super fortunate this year in that our spring break fell on the week after the time change. My alarm usually goes off at 5 am. This morning I rolled over and my clock said 8:30! I'm pretty sure I couldn't have gotten up at 5, and thankful I didn't have to. Hopefully each day this week gets better for you.

I can so identify with this... I am not a morning person either. I really identified with your lines, "Instead I wait until the very last possible minute, rush around, forget things, get angry, and end up close to late"

I'm a morning person, usually waking up an hour before my alarm (the animals sleeping on my bed rarely let me sleep until the alarm), but even for me today was a tough one. I was jolted awake by my alarm. Maybe tomorrow you'll be able to enjoy a few extra minutes of calm:)

I read this and laughed a little. We have a lot in common. I can't ever get the extra time in the morning and today was just worse. I wrote a poem about my morning as my slice today. I actually think my post is linked in another comment. I hope tomorrow morning is a better one!

I'm torn because I left work and it was still light out so I feel like that's a win, but this morning was AWFUL! Then again, you're talking to someone who comes to work with wet hair sometimes!

I don't like getting up much, either, but years of getting up early for work anyway still keeps me waking up although I'm retired. Hope the week improves morning by morning.

Oh my goodness, we're soul sisters. Lol. I am NOT a morning person, but I so badly want to be. I mean, I really, really want to be. Every August when school is about to start again, I convince myself that THIS will be the year.
